The Best Connection Group are currently seeking DRIVERS MATES / ASSISTANTS / PORTERS for a large blue chip client who specialises in the deliveries of furniture to customers home. Based locally in the Maidstone and or Chatham area, you job will be to assist the driver with route directions, acting as a banks person where needed, delivering heavy items to customers homes, assembling items where requested.

Responsibilities of the DRIVERS MATES / PORTERS

Loading the vehicles in line with route plan
Delivering goods to customers homes with the assistance of the driver; you may be asked to assist with assembling the furniture also.
Providing directions to drivers and guiding the lorries to park safely when requested.
Relevant training may be given if required to work in other areas of the operation.
Requirements of the DRIVERS MATES / PORTERS

Heavy lifting; this role can be very labour intensive from time to time
Good telephone manner when dealing with customers
Flexible; hours can vary due to the nature of the jon
Shifts will run Monday to Friday, with weekends also available. Shift time will generally consist of a minimum of 8 hours; candidates should be flexible on working times as you may be required to work extra dependant on job load, traffic and other factors.

We are currently recruiting on a temporary contract with full time hours available. There is a high possibility of full time contracts being offered for the right candidates!
