Fabricator/ Welder / Sheet Metal Worker

RSFL are now recruiting for an experienced Fabricator/ Welder / Sheet Metal Worker to join an established team in Ashford. Our client has a reputation for producing high quality solutions within a specialist Industry. They have a solid client list from all over the UK and abroad. They have continuous repeat business, which is a great testament to the quality of their product and strong relationships with customers. Hours: 40 per week Mon- Fri 0800-1630.

All About the Role:-

Read and interpret drawings

Working with materials up to 5- 6mm (Mild Steel)

Fabricate and build bespoke containers and their component parts including those required for specialist installations and plant rooms along with other sheet metal duties

Mig weld and operate plasma cutting equipment and of hand tools/brake press and other machineryfor construction.

Setting up to operate fabricating machines including brake press, guillotine and band saws to cut, bend and straighten metal as required.

Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials/ panels according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares and rulers.

Inspect individual parts, assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, quality standards and building codes, using measuring instruments.

Fasten and secure roof panels, roof sections and machine made molding to structures, fixing/welding pieces into place.

All About You!

Previous experience of working as a Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator.

Experienced/Qualified to MIG weld to a high standard.

Flexible attitude to work with the ability to learn and work quickly.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Desire to work additional hours/overtime if required.
