Polish Speaking Logistics Coordinator/Freight Forwarder
Dover, Kent
Salary Package Circa £22-£26K (depending on experience)
Mon to Fri, 9 hour rotational shifts (Days)
Our client is an award winning leading name in the time critical freight industry, organising transport solutions for multinational companies.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Logistics Team at their Head Office near Dover. They are looking for a fluent Polish speaking Logistics Coordinator, to join their existing dedicated team.
The successful Freight Forwarder will be responsible for planning and managing time critical logistics solutions throughout Europe and Worldwide so will need to have experience of route planning, shipping, customs legislation, logistics and transport, along with processing customs documents in accordance with legal requirements.
You will be operating within strict time constraints so must have experience of working in a very fast-paced, office environment and be used to ensuring that all deadlines are met, paying attention to detail at all times. The shift pattern available is Monday to Friday, 9 hour rotational day shifts, so you will need to be comfortable working this shift pattern to be considered for this role.
As you will be dealing with English speaking clients as well it is essential that you also speak fluent English.
As Logistics Coordinator you will also:
* Liaise with international carriers to agree transport costs, ensure the best possible solutions are found that fits the client?s requirement.
* Tender job revenues to clients ensuring a bespoke solution is found for them best fitting their request, offering different transport solutions where applicable.
* Plan routes, monitor the progression of transports advising the client at agreed milestones, and ensuring the transports are running to schedule.
* Ensure our bespoke freight management system is correctly monitored and updated when required.
* Build excellent relationships with multinational clients who are under immense pressure.
* Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and deal with enquiries quickly.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Existing industry experience
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Be able to deliver results whilst working under pressure
* Have a keen eye for detail
* Determination to succeed and to go the extra mile
* Have a real hands-on approach and be a real team player
