The Abbeyfield Kent Society is recruiting for a part time Housekeepers to work 25 hours per week on a fortnightly rolling rota (3 days one week, 4 days the next), creating a family friendly, happy and homely atmosphere at our Supported Living Service, St Mary’s, in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): preparing, cooking and serving meals, ordering/buying food, overseeing domestic staff, simple household accounts, updating ‘Lifeline’, maintaining accurate records, providing (occasional) simple home care, reporting house repairs, overseeing laundry, attending alarms, making referrals to the Supported Housing team, attending training, attending housekeepers and staff meeting, welcoming active and friendly interest in the house and its ‘family’, encouraging residents to remain involved with the community and to be active in their own interests, upholding agreed policies and standards of care, promoting equality and diversity and eliminating discrimination for all the Society’s service users, staff and volunteers, taking part in individual performance reviews and training.
This position offers an opportunity to become part of a caring, fast-growing organisation. You will need to be a proven, confident and organised individual with a flair for people and a commitment to ensuring the success of the service and the happiness of the residents.
We offer 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata to part time), 25 hours per week on a fortnightly rolling rota (3 days one week, 4 days the next) a stakeholder pension scheme.
