New Appointments Group are supporting a local Hythe manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Production Operative to join their team and work on a Monday to Friday day shift only in their factory.

This is absolutely ideal for a local candidate who is keen to walk to work with no fuel costs who is hardworking, enthusiastic and self-motivated but is not sure what direction their career is going in. This role requires no specific skills as on the job training will be given, but you must be IT Literate and be able to follow work instructions and use common sense. The successful candidate can look forward to full training in the use of a variety of production processes, kick starting your career in production and engineering. You will be multi-skilled in the use of machinery and routers, assembling frames, producing table tops, final assembly, product inspection and packaging for despatch.

You will need to be physically fit as there is a day to day manual handling element.

The salary package includes basic pay, a share of company profit and attendance bonus. All starters over 22 will be auto enrolled into the Company Stakeholder pension scheme on commencement of employment, with the company contributing 5% of estimated salary which we expect to be match funded by the employee. Employees are also covered under the company's Group Life Policy. The working hours are Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm. Holiday entitlement - 20 days per annum plus Public Holidays, increasing to 23 days after 5 years' service.
