Spadework is a Charity providing care, support and meaningful opportunities for adults with learning, and other, disabilities. The aim of Spadework is to support people to be more independent, less isolated and to live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.

We are currently looking for a full-time Chef/ Cook to help run our successful on-site Food Shed Cafe catering for around 100 covers per day currently . We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate person to join our team in Offham, just outside of West Malling. You will be part of a team delivering exceptional, quality food and excellent customer service. Our menu focuses on light lunches, as well as a fully-stocked cake and savoury counter, prepared daily, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Duties, Responsibilities and Key Skills:
To create and follow menus/ recipes
To provide and manage a high-quality food service, ensuring quality and presentation standards at all times
Always adhering to food safety and hygiene procedures and cleaning schedule
Always adhering to stock control and wastage procedures throughout the kitchen.
Always following Health & Safety regulations.
To manage a small team, maintaining good relationships and communication.
Responsible for ordering and stock rotation
Be able to self-manage at busy times and be pro-active in approach.
Be able to identify, and resolve, any special requirements, dietary or otherwise, for customers
Assist with stocktaking and management of kitchen hygiene and food storage
