Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Sittingbourne, Kent for a Bootcamp Skills Mentor

This role will be a part of our client’s Skills Bootcamp team which will be responsible for delivering funded training to learners who sign up for the government's HGV Skills Bootcamp - which is hoped to be a solution for the HGV driver shortage

No experience of HGV driving is required as this role is not the delivery of training, it is entirely focused on the recruitment of learners to the program and subsequently helping to mentor, and motivating learners to achieve the successful outcomes of training completion and a new job as a HGV driver.

Bootcamp Skills Mentors will support learners throughout their entire Bootcamp journey, from initial application, acting as a mentor/sounding board through the various stages of training and assisting them to arrange an interview and hopefully a successful job outcome with prospective employers.

This is an exciting project which will lead to long term opportunities within our client’s company.

The role will be supported by a Team Leader who will be on hand to assist.

The role entails:

- Taking Inbound calls from learners (sign up calls, general enquiries)
- Liaising with the Bootcamp admin team for LGV related bookings
- Handling licence applications
- Assisting learners with the booking of training courses and workshops
- Handling digital tachograph card applications
- Booking job interviews
- Collating all learners results
- Inputting funding data and completing funding claims

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience

- Previous experience working in an admin position
- The ability to work in a busy and varied environment
- Excellent organisation skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

The salary package

- A basic salary of £22,000
- + a Team Bonus based on learners gaining successful employment

The core hours of this position will be Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm
