What would you be responsible for in this role?

Provide administrative support to the Protection department
Deal with customer phone calls on relevant helplines
General Administration of existing policies over the telephone and in writing including amendments, queries, cancellations, direct debits, claim form requests and updates
Register and approve new claims efficiently and accurately within agreed timescales
Completion of manual tasks, including dealing with original customer documents and filing
Assessment of continuing claims post
Ensure company service standards are adhered to
Achieving agreed service levels to both external and internal customers
Complete other activity over and above those listed in the role profile, appropriate to your skills and experience

Able to plan own workload and the ability to work to deadlines
Follows procedural requirements and escalates enquiries as and when it is sensible to do so. Actively listens to others and demonstrates their understanding with appropriate follow-up actions
An effective communicator using all verbal and written communication methods. Able to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external parties
Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
Assist others in the team as necessary to ensure efficient operation of the department
Aware of how their behaviours and attitudes affect others as well as willingly providing help and support to others
A positive attitude with motivation to learn and develop
Acts well on feedback, constantly seeking to improve their performance
GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
