Hours: 30 hours per week, 36 weeks per annum.

Salary: Tier 8 - £10,260.41 per annum pro rata (£18,329 per annum full time equivalent), plus enhanced holiday pay.

Location: Based at the College’s Gravesend campus.

We are currently recruiting for a suitably qualified and experienced catering assistant to join the College’s refectory department on a part time, term time only basis.

The postholder will be responsible to the Refectory Manager. The role will involve completing tasks as directed to maximise the enjoyment of visitors. The post holder will be expected to promote a positive atmosphere, allowing customers to have a memorable visit as a result of excellent customer service and an outstanding eating experience.

The Catering Assistant will need to be available to attend shifts during a 5-day roster, between 8am and 6pm where required, and will need to show flexibility to work at other sites if necessary.

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a Basic food hygiene certificate, have knowledge of till operation and providing excellent customer service skills. Experience of catering would be beneficial, although not an essential requirement.
