Underwriting Completions Consultant

Monday - Friday

9am - 5pm



A new exciting opportunity has become available for a Customer Completions Consultant for our client based in Chatham.

You will work as part of a successful team to achieve excellent standards of customer service whilst maintaining quality assessment of key underwriting and completions documents.

You will be:

* Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
* Ensuring all queries relating to Underwriting and Completions are dealt with promptly, efficiently and in accordance with various policies and procedures
* Assessing mortgage applications and post offer documents
* Handling escalation calls from mortgage intermediaries and Solicitors
* Reviewing Underwriting conditions
* Liaising with underwriters and legal on complex policy decisions
* Contributing to personal development, reviews and planning
* Keeping up to date with current best practice and regulatory requirements
* Complete general administration duties and ad hoc tasks or projects as required
* Instruct and interpret Valuation Reports
* Take telephone calls when required to support the team
* Maintaining the company's standards

The successful candidate will be/have:

* A team player with strong interpersonal skills, keen with enthusiasm and drive
* Experienced in a processing or completions role
* Outbound call experience in relation to mortgage application
* Detailed knowledge of the mortgage product life cycle
* Knowledge of the house buying process
* Basic knowledge of the Data Protection Act, Anti-Money Laundering, MCOBS, MMR and UK Finance Mortgage Lenders Handbook
* Experience using Microsoft Office Programs
* GCSE/GCE qualifications in Maths and English
* Excellent organisation skills
