Company & Position Overview

Working for an extremely credible organisation, who over 25 years have established an excellent reputation as a national fitout and refurbishment contractor. This position will predominantly be supporting the fit-out division, mainly commercial shop fitting but provides the scope to become part of a highly skilled team adding value to all divisions.

This role will typically support the Senior Management team with the development and growth of the business, providing a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress and develop.

The company have a really strong team who are mostly long serving and have a real ethos of team working and treating people in the right way. They also have a very strong order book and diverse client portfolio proving a stable workload for the long-term foreseeable future.

This position will predominantly be based at their offices in Faversham but will also require national travel to their various sites.


Key duties
• Attending site surveys/scope of works meetings
• Commercial management of subcontractors
• Ensuring H&S is adhered to on all sites and taking the relevant action where required
• Negotiation of final accounts, ensuring all variations are recorded
• Heavily involved in procurement, ensuring all required materials and trades are onsite to meet the very strict fast track deadlines
• Assisting with tenders and procurement of subcontractors
• Prepare and present project cost reports
• Analysing outcomes and managing the progress of various projects
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments with the Finance Team

Requirements
• Surveying or Commercial management degree desirable but not essential
• Surveying and Project Management experience
• Experience of Procurement within the construction industry
• Experience of arranging, co-ordinating and managing multi trades onsite
• Experience working on Retail fit outs would be extremely beneficial
• Work well in a fast-paced/fast track environment
• Motivated and ambitious
• Professional manner, experience being client facing
