A newly instruction for a Stock Control and Transport Co-ordinator with a global manufacturing organisation and major employer in the area which is being presented on a fixed term contract basis for 6 months.



This newly created Folkestone based role will be an integral part of the control of stock movements to new SAP plant in Rotterdam, ensuring stock moves from production plant in SAP to Rotterdam storage plant in SAP accurately.

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience of a similar role within a comparable organisation, helping to set up a new warehouse, as well as:

Being digitally competent and confident with IT systems

Good knowledge and use of Excel and ideally SAP

Good communication skills in both written and spoken English – communicating with colleagues and stakeholders constantly

Ideally having knowledge and experience working in a global logistics environment, so having an understanding of all the work constraints.

Being commercially savvy, understanding the importance of hitting the numbers and of stock data being accurate

The ability to prioritise, strong organisational skills, able to work to deadlines and under pressure



Responsibilities include:

Working solely in Folkestone, you will control accurate stock movements to new plant in Rotterdam storage plant.

Liaison with appointed transport provider on collections from Folkestone to Rotterdam, ensuring prompt rotation of trailers between sites

Liaison with Rotterdam site team to ensure stock is booked on promptly and any discrepancies investigated and resolved

Generation of documents required for shipping compliance, including commercial invoice and DGN

Communication both within both the logistics and fulfilment team and with colleagues in other functions across the organization

Escalation of issues as required to team leader

Support the set-up of EDI with the Rotterdam site and test transactions prior to go live
