Night shift, Sunday to Thursday 20:00-05:00 (40) or Sunday to Thursday 19:00-05:00 (45)

Job purpose/business benefit of role

You will receive and put away inbound deliveries; replenish pick faces in line with daily sales; pick and load food & non-food products to our standards and processes relating to cases per hour, accuracy, vehicle fill, health & safety and food hygiene legislation.

Accountabilities – may include but not limited to.

1 You will accurately read and use pick lists for customer orders and ensure that all products are assembled in a methodically stacked way to the highest standard for our customers
2 You will unload and load vehicles to make sure all goods in and out are recorded accurately
3 You will make sure pick & bulk locations are correctly labelled and report any errors to your supervisor
4 You will be aware of and comply with health & safety policy requirements and procedure including wearing personal protective equipment
5 You will be aware of and comply with all the requirements of the Food Standards policy and procedure
6 You will tidy as you go and complete cleaning duties as required
7 You will work with all team members to make sure that corporate goals, hourly picking rates, error rates and any other specific targets are consistently achieved and maintained
8 Health and safety accountabilities: · Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy. · Support the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation process. · Comply with all verbal and written instructions in matters pertaining to Health & Safety. Attend Health & Safety training courses as per instructions from line managers.

You will be aware of and conform to all mechanical handling equipment procedures at all times, and make sure that any MHE defects / damages are reported in the correct way
You will be aware of and comply at all times with relevant legislation involved in food safety and food hygiene
