Title – Electrical Estimator

Salary – £35,000 to £45,000 DoE

Hours – Full time, to start ASAP

Location – Outskirts of Ashford, Kent

We are a well-established Electrical Contractor looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator, preferably within construction. The main purpose of the role is to produce robust and accurate pricing in a timely manner, in line with client requirements and company procedures.



Duties and skills required will include:



• Liaising with building developers, consultants and main contractors providing detailed quotations, based on clients’ tender specifications

• Liaise with supply chain manufacturers and specialists for pricing components to provide competitive and accurate quotations

• Carry out estimates using current estimation packages. Ensign experience preferred

• Sound understanding of technical drawings, specifications, programmes and labour requirements

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring they reach the client by the deadline

• Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms. Includes providing weekly progress update on tenders to directors

• Be a team player, while being self-motivated, able to use own initiative and problem solve

• Attend site visits and occasional client meetings

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
