Leading Kent based B2B sales and distribution business operation at c.£20M turnover and grown profitably throughout the past 18 months. Increased demand has led to the need to recruit a number one in finance, leading a team of 3 and reporting into MD.
Management Information
- Oversee the timely and accurate production of reporting including MI reporting
- To further develop MI reporting
- Present relevant financial and other reports to managers/directors
- Play a lead role in the preparation of annual budgets
Cash forecasting & generation
- Accurately maintain a rolling 12-month Cash Flow Forecast
- Identify opportunities and drive business wide initiatives
Payroll
- Collation of payroll data for monthly wages
- Ensuring salary information is passed to the third-party payroll company in a timely fashion
- Accurate recording of payroll information in the accounting software
- Scheduling payments of employee salaries, pension contributions and PAYE/NI to HMRC
Compliance
- To assist the auditors in the preparation of statutory reports
- Ensure all pension obligations are understood and met
- All tax deadlines are understood and met
Team management
- Lead the Finance Team in being a proactive service function
- Proactively improve financial processes
- Help to develop an excellent communication framework
