We are one the largest School Photographers in the country with a customer base of over 1800 educational establishments. 2022 is our 57th year of trading during which time we have built a good reputation for quality and service.
The position involves calling on the above, promoting our services as photographers in a very competitive environment. We also require some courtesy calls to be made on existing customers but it is predominantly a cold calling, face to face, field sales role. When gaining new business there is often a loyalty barrier to break down but there is also the matter of being able to offer package deals that compare favourably with the schools’ existing arrangements. We have our own digital processing laboratory that enables us to be competitive in this area.
The person we are looking for will need to be of smart appearance, self-motivated, tenacious, and above all, not fazed by rejection. You will spend most days working on your own, cold calling in person on schools creating your own leads and interest. We find that we get the best results using this method although we are not opposed to working to appointments when necessary. We are more than happy to talk to inexperienced candidates who are looking to break into a sales career.
In return we will provide a company vehicle that is fully expensed except for private mileage. Our vehicles are fitted with trackers for insurance purposes. A mobile phone is provided along with a netbook for company use. The package will include a salary of 25k, plus bonus and commission that should eventually be in the region of a further 10 - 20k.
As the position involves calling on schools we offer a minimum of 38 days holiday which includes virtually all of the month of August plus the Christmas and Easter periods. Various days at half terms may be included but we are not always able to guarantee complete weeks for these due to meetings being scheduled.
The area to be covered is Kent, Surrey, Sussex and South London where there are approximately 2500 potential customers of which we have an approximate 15% market share.
