Human Resources Apprentice – Ashford, Kent

Summary of the Role:
Provide bespoke support to the Human Resources (HR) department, whilst developing a wide range of competencies to meet the appropriate vocational standards of performance relevant to the qualification, including developing skills in communication, numeracy and ICT and the technical knowledge required for the relevant Apprenticeship framework.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by your line manager and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks:

1. Deliver reliable customer service, developing good customer relationships and resolving problems, whilst presenting a positive image of yourself, the HR Department and the organisation.

2. Manage workloads, tasks and responsibilities effectively and complete relevant assignments and projects relating to the apprenticeship qualification on-time.

3. Work effectively as part of the HR team, liaising with colleagues, organising and supporting meetings/events as directed, achieving set targets/ objectives/ deadlines and following management instructions.

4. Produce references, draft letters and maintain and update employee records and departmental tracking systems as directed by the HR Advisors/Business Partners.

5. Communicate effectively with colleagues within the HR department and with colleagues across the organisation.

6. Use internal systems/databases effectively and in accordance with organisations processes, procedures and policies, using manual and computerised records to store, retrieve and archive information.

7. Actively participate in progress reviews and respond appropriately to advice and guidance given.

Person Specification:

• 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Mathematics and English
• Administrative Work Experience
• Experience/knowledge of the role and functions of an HR department
• Willing to undertake all mandatory Training and demonstrate awareness of Health & Safety and GDPR requirements.
• The successful candidate will be required to have a DBS check to work at the organisation.
