Yard Operative

Venrec are urgently seeking Yard Staff for our Client based in Medway, Kent

This role is 12 week Temp to Perm, after 12 weeks this role will be made permanent for the suitable candidate

Role Responsibilities:

Goods in:

• Unloading vehicles manually

• Checking off materials against manifest or delivery notes

• Checking returns and processing as directed.

Goods out:

• Loading vehicles manually

• Checking out materials against manifest or delivery notes

Other duties:

• Yard ‘house-keeping’ – ensuring the environment is kept clean and tidy

• Reporting damaged/ defected stock

• Inventory count and control as required

• Stock movements within the yard

Conduct requirements:

• Confident communicator

• Be a reliable and trustworthy member of the team

• Be positive and proactive in everything you do

• Strong attention to detail

Personal Training Requirements:

• Holding a nationally accredited Counterbalance Forklift certificate is preferred

• Physically fit as heavy lifting is involved

• Background working within the construction industry is advantageous

• Ability to work outside

Other Information:

Hours of work: Monday - Saturday 07.00 – 17.00 (Half day on Saturday), so flexibility is required within this role.

Start Date: Immediate

Pay Rate:

£10 per hour + holiday pay (this includes a .50p per hour attendance bonus)
