Role and Responsibilities

The Head of Credit Risk would be joining our ever-growing company reporting to the CEO and COO with direct responsibility for managing the Credit Risk function across our business The Head of Credit Risk will manage the credit risk function across all business activities and ensuring compliance with credit risk regulatory requirements.

• Credit Risk oversight,
• Review and management of Credit Risk Management,
• Credit Portfolio Lending Analysis,
• Credit Administration,
• Policies,
• Credit Systems.
The business is looking to expand its risk appetite and strategic lending to its clients and look for Head of Credit Risk to drive the business and risk management agenda.
The Head of Credit will manage the Credit Risk function, across the bank’s credit approval process, credit analysis, monitoring portfolio and transactions, ensuring effective risk management across credit administration and reporting.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of a Credit Risk Management Governance Framework.
• Manage all Credit Risk Management transformation projects pertaining to ongoing continuous improvement of the Credit Risk control framework, processes, people, and systems enhancements.
• Continue to enhance the firms Credit Policy and Risk Procedures.
• Support the CEO and other functional business groups including Operational Risk, Market Risk, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, and IT.
• Drive reviews of credit risk, controls, monitoring arrangements and governance.
• Formulating Credit Risk strategies and monitoring for non-performing loans and provisions that exceed company thresholds and reduce operational risk for the business.
• Application of new Credit Risk rating methodology changes and application to understanding for credit rating models.
Prerequisite Requirements
• Extensive experience as a Credit Risk Head preferably within a Fintech organisation.
• Expertise in developing and implementing Credit Risk Management Governance Framework, Credit Risk Policies.
• Direct management of Credit Risk function, and business teams covering credit analysis, administration, reporting, and regulatory commitments including Stress Testing, IFRS9, and ICAAP.
• Knowledge of UK Regulatory requirements including credit risk methodology enhancements, climate risk, and ICAAP.
• Strong leadership, planning and business team management skills with demonstrated ability to drive a team to execute and deliver credit risk business objectives, organisational awareness, and commitment.
• 2:1 degree at University and least 5 years experience working in Financial Services.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
