Financial Accountant | Mid-Kent - Hybrid | £40k - 45k

Our client, a successful business growing both through acquisition and organically, are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to join their head office team in Kent. Reporting into the Financial Controller and acting as a key member of the team, the Financial Accountant will ensure the integrity of the balance sheet, undertake complex reconciliations and support the month end and year end processes. As Financial Accountant you will have excellent technical accounting skills with the ability to get on with the tasks in a fast-paced environment. The company are currently working on a Hybrid basis and will be an ongoing temporary assignment with a possibility of becoming permanent.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
• Statutory reporting and liaison with auditors
• Tax returns and support for calculations
• Cash flow forecasting
• Balance Sheet reconciliations and integrity
• Consolidation accounting and intercompany reconciliations
• Lead on technical accounting issues within the Group
• Support FC and CFO with integration of acquisitions
• Interest payments and loan schedules
• Dealing with multiple bank accounts
• Assist with Year end audits

Candidate Profile:
• Ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified with experience in a Financial Accounting role
• A natural problem solver who can unpick complex reconciliations
• Strong communicator and detail orientated
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Confident systems skills as the business operates currently on multiple systems
• Strong Intercompany and VAT experience
• Treasury experience would be an advantage
• Able to start the role on an interim basis
