Job Title: HR Advisor
Salary: Up to £31,000
Location: Medway
Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious HR Advisor to join a great employer based in Medway.
The purpose of this role is to provide generalist HR support to management and staff across the business. It boasts a competitive salary and progression opportunities.
Duties include:
* Proactive support, coaching and mentoring for managers, providing advice on policies and procedures.
* Managing performance review and performance management processes.
* Payroll administration, including offers, contracts, and variations of employment terms.
* Individual case management, including investigation, up to dismissals and appeals stages.
* Supporting management with absence procedures and liaising with external partners such as Occupational Health Advisors.
* Creating and updating Job Descriptions.
* Managing the end to end recruitment process, including monitoring metrics and suggesting improvements.
* Overseeing inductions and probation periods of all new starters.
* Supporting the HR Manager in management information reporting, driving business performance, and any other projects identified.
The successful candidate will have/be:
* Experience within a generalist HR role, ideally in a manufacturing or similar environment.
* Experience of change management processes and implementation.
* Experience managing all levels of recruitment and advising on employment relations issues.
* CIPD qualification, ideally to Level 5.
* Thorough knowledge of employment legislation.
* Fantastic relationship building and communication skills, at all levels within the business.
* Organised and practical.
* Confident coaching and training skills.
* Proactive and positive.
* Resilient and reflective.
* IT skills, ideally including Sage People and Time and Attendance software.
