A Purchasing Assistant is required to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company near Dover.
This is a great time to join the business who have seen unprecedented growth and are continuing to create new and innovative products to bring to market
The hours of work are Monday-Friday 08.30-5.30pm and you will be part of the growing and busy team at the head office.
About the role
* Previous experience of purchasing, preferably from a manufacturing environment
* IT Literate including MS Word, Outlook and Excel and have previous experience of stock control systems
* Negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts and achieve the most competitive prices and delivery times
* Liaise with suppliers both in the UK and worldwide to ensure orders are placed and products are delivered.
* Checking of stock, ensuring that correct stock levels are kept
* Source products sometimes at short notice
* Maintain and manage the filing system within the purchasing department
