Exciting opportunity for an experienced Safeguarding Manager to ensure compliance with policies and a best practice, person-centred approach to managing safeguarding concerns. This respected organisation is a source of information and support to the public across East Kent, working on established projects with the County Council.



This is an interesting role working collaboratively across the organisation to provide support, advice and expertise on safeguarding training, issues and concerns.



Duties include:

* Acting as the designated lead for safeguarding across the organisation.
* Ensuring compliance obligations are met through the implementation of safeguarding processes, policies, procedures and regulations.
* Close work with the Management team to ensure best practice in all matters safeguarding.
* Leading and delivering learning materials, training and coaching to ensure that team members have excellent knowledge of policies and procedures in safeguarding and are confident to competently apply this in their day to day roles.
* Leading weekly case review meetings and monthly safeguarding meetings with appropriate colleagues, as well as attendance at and contribution to staff meetings on a regular basis.
* Effective relationship building with those involved in safeguarding cases: professionals, colleagues and members of the public.
* Analysis of themes and trends from safeguarding work in order to drive continuous improvement in the organisation's person-centred, preventative approach to service delivery, and identify gaps or issues in service provision.



The successful candidate will have:

* Safeguarding management experience with a solid knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and database systems.
* Excellent communication skills, including managing difficult conversations positively, and negotiation.
* Strong leadership and management skills, including coaching others on difficult subjects in order to achieve excellent results.
* Careful attention to detail and meticulous record keeping, with a demonstrable understanding of the need for careful, accurate handling of confidential and sensitive information.
* Resilience and flexibility, alongside the ability to work independently, organising and managing their workload effectively.
* Full driving licence and own transport.
