An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a family owned and industry leading manufacturer with their HQ in Folkestone as they look to appoint a HR and Payroll Officer. This is a multisite operation and whilst you will be based in East Kent you will be providing HR support for a site in Dorset and a manufacturing site in Devon.

As an experienced HR Officer you will draw upon your strong generalist HR knowledge to deliver complete HR support to over 100 staff across all 3 sites, although if required you will be able to utilise the support of a retained HR consultant for complex ER matters.

Part of your role is to provide payroll support updating HRIS and time and attendance system with outcomes to ensure the smooth processing of the monthly payroll. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and you will deliver HR, maintain and update GDPR and support senior management within the business.

About you

* Ideally CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualified or equivalent however will consider qualified by experience

* Ideally HR experience from within a manufacturing or distribution business.

* Strong generalist HR experience, able to manage ER and provide HR support to the management team

* Previous experience of payroll, ideally experience of Pegasus Opera Payroll

* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar HR officer role

* Excellent understanding of employment law

* Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills.

* Whilst this role is based in Folkestone applicants must be flexible in their approach as it might be necessary to visit and attend the 2 other sites if required.
