The Best Connection Employment Group are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to begin a permanent assignment for our client based in the Marden, Kent area.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the operational activity for the delivery depot
- Assist with booking inspections and compliance for fleet including
- Ensure all aspects of H&S are adhered to at all times
- All driver’s tachograph infringements to be explained and signed off + monitored with Depot Manager
- Book and control agency staff with Depot Manager
- Ensure all defects reports are actioned and filed on completion
- Be flexible to company needs / changes and happy to pitch in at all times when needed
- Assist with general queries from drivers, warehouse and customer service throughout the day
Our client is looking for someone who has the drive and ambition to look towards management positions later down the line.
Successful candidates will need to have previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience within a warehouse environment.
You must be competent in operating numerous IT systems (Excel, Word, Routing Software, EPODS and TACO systems).
Candidates must be able to work from Monday to Friday each week on the below shift times.
05:00 - 13:30
Shift times may vary on the occasion dependent on the business requirement.
