A world leader in their field with an outstanding reputation is looking to bring on board a head of manufacturing at their site in Dartford. The successful candidate will lead and develop the manufacturing function in order to ensure effective planning and running of the operations, meeting the needs of the customers in terms of quality and delivery. The Manufacturing Manager will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by embedding a customer-focused culture.

Joining an established and expanding operation, you will be responsible for a variety of operational staff to include engineering, CNC machine shop, technical department, production, assembly and warehouse.

Driving a manufacturing strategy, planning and organising manufacturing functions to ensure you meet requirements for (SQDCP). Working closely with the Quality and Engineering teams to develop and delivery business improvement initiatives.

The person will have an Engineering bias with a relevant qualification or experience within Electronics/Mechanical Engineering and have strong leadership and man-management skills gained from within a manufacturing or production management role. You will have the ability to enthusiastically drive, lead and motivate a team of leaders within the business to deliver high standards of product quality, operational excellence and customer service.

An Engineering background is essential, with a love for lean and Continuous Improvement and a passion for training, coaching and mentoring the people to ensure you get the best from your teams.
