A new instruction for a Junior Buyer with a global manufacturing client and key employer within the area.

The role of Junior Buyer should be considered an exceptional development opportunity and is considered ideal for someone with minimal purchasing/procurement experience who wants to embrace such a role within a professional organisation, in order to enhance their career prospects, going forward.

Duration & Location:
This is a 12 month contract role with attractive hybrid working available, so some time spent in the office and some home-working. You will be provided with the equipment enabling you to do so.

What does the role entail:
Working within a professional Purchasing Team, you will assist and support the Team with multiple projects of varying complexities, simultaneously.

You will also be involved in daily operational activities, including developing effective business partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.

You will require good project management skills, be a team player and have the ability to communicate effectively across the business, all within an extremely supportive, positive, environment.

Good IT skills are important, with a particular emphasis on Excel.

In terms of the previous sector experience we are looking for, this is quite flexible, although any experience gained within fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or even food sectors, would be considered helpful.
