We are working with a public sector client to recruit for a Senior Payroll Officer, with extensive experience of working in a payroll environment who is digitally adept and has the ability to communicate complex payroll or financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
Supporting the Payroll Team Leader to co-ordinate the delivery of the payroll service, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing and checking of payroll and maintaining a HR and Payroll system along with. Duties will include:
* Ensuring all submissions to HMRC are accurate and submitted within the required deadlines, including those relating to RTI and P11d's.
* Co-ordinating the management of a car leasing scheme including the cash alternative.
* In the absence of the Payroll Team Leader, ensure that effective processes are in place to deliver and respond to changes and effectively resolve issues
To apply, you will ideally possess a Payroll Technician qualification or equivalent, have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products (outlook, word and excel) along with experience of using a financial database/system, providing technical advice to managers on payroll related issues and experience of pension scheme administration.
