We are looking for an enthusiastic claims specialist to join our busy team based in Maidstone, Kent. We have a
small team who mainly joined the company with no insurance background. We are looking to train the right enthusiastic individual with the willingness to learn, but may have no experience in the field, to become a successful claims specialist.
Your main duties will include assessing vehicle excess insurance claims via an online portal, liaising with claimants and rental companies, answering telephone enquiries, and responding to email enquiries in a timely and professional manner. We want to provide an “unexpectedly personal” experience for all our claimants and as a claims specialist you will be at the fore front.
The working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm.
This role may also be suitable for someone looking for part-time work on a reduced hours basis, for example
school hours – salary would be pro rata.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Assessing the validity of a claim, in line with the Terms and Conditions applicable to the policy purchased, from the initial submission to settlement
Responding to telephone enquiries from existing claimants, potential claimants, and rental companies
Telephoning claimants and rental companies to seek documentation/information in order for claims to be finalised
Identifying any potential fraudulent claims
Sending emails and responding to email enquiries
Recognising when a customer is dissatisfied and dealing with this in the correct manner and timeframe
Following internal communication guidelines and procedures
Meeting personal qualitative and quantitative targets
Upholding the highest level of customer service expected from the company
Learning and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of company products
