I am working with a fantastic company who is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant. My client is a successful company who was founded in 1987. They are experts in their field and their clients consider them to be a go-to trusted partner.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Processing purchase ledger invoices within Sage 50, including the processing of sub-contractor invoices
Reconciling supplier statements
Resolving queries
Maintaining relationships with suppliers
Preparing and producing month end payment schedules
Completing monthly payment runs on Sage 50
Sending remittance advices to suppliers
Completing monthly payment runs for sub-contractor invoices on Sage 50
Sending remittance advices and completing the CIS return
Completing bank reconciliations
As you grow into the role, you will be able to take on additional responsibilities such as:
Preparing monthly prepayment and accruals schedules
Processing fuel card invoices and reconciliation
Fixed Asset Register management
Skills and Experience:
AAT level 2 or above or equivalent
Working knowledge of Sage 50 - essential
Experience of working in a similar role
A thorough understanding of financial procedures
Personal Specification:
A self-starter with initiative
A person who is seeking a challenge and an opportunity to flourish in a role which requires a ownership and accountability
A positive, can-do attitude
A proven track record of reliability and excellent communication skills
Detail orientated, methodical and have a high attention to detail
Hands-on and timely in your delivery of tasks
