Reed Facilities are recruiting for a Cook for a very high-end company in Kings Hill.

Monday – Friday

7am – 4pm (40 hours)

Permanent £23,000

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Provides an efficient and friendly service to customers

Prepares, cooks and serves good quality and healthy food, as applicable to a choice menu

Supervises the servery during meal service.

Serves customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Checks and records all food and other goods received and where necessary, reports any discrepancies or quality defects.

Manages workloads of self and staff.

Instructs staff in kitchen craft skills.

Ensures the highest standards are maintained in personal hygiene, including the wearing of clean, protective clothing as provided.

Ensures counters, service and eating areas are stocked, well-presented and tidy always

Ensures all areas within catering are always clean and hygienic.

Carries out cleaning duties as per cleaning schedules or as directed.

Complies with all company policies and procedures, statutory regulations relating to work environment, including but not limited to fire, health and safety, food hygiene, working safely and COSHH.

Completes all records as directed accurately and in a timely manner.

Completes orders for all food items, controls stock & reduces waste.

Reports all complaints and compliments to the Soft Services Manager, taking action where appropriate and practicable.

Reports any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where appropriate and practicable.

Complies with any reasonable request from the Soft Services Manager to undertake work of a similar level not specified in this job description.


Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP regulations

Basic Food Hygiene certification

Previous experience in catering and food production
