Our client, a manufacturing company based in Ramsgate, is currently looking to recruit a Hydraulic Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis.



The role will be paying a competitive salary.



As the Hydraulic Fitter, you will be…



* Undertaking a breadth of tasks including strip, inspect, assembly and testing of different pumps, motors, valves, actuators, servos and landing gears from a variety of rotary and fixed wing aircraft platforms.
* Providing support for Fluid Power team, ensuring NCR's and Audit Findings are raised
* Efficiently and effectively delivering the day-to-day operation of the Hydraulic, Landing Gear Workshop and Test Bay
* Undertaking Stripping and paint removal at both component and assembly level.
* Completing detailed Inspection and report writing at both component and assembly level.
* Complete assembly of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, including landing gears.
* Support with testing of hydraulic assemblies.
* Support with technical support, fault diagnoses for hydraulic, landing gear and mechanical fluid power systems.
* Support the fluid power workshop supervisor with delivering the day to day needs of the hydraulic and landing gear workshops.

Person Specification:



* Ideal some qualifications in engineering and hydraulics
* Prior experience of mechanical/hydraulic systems including testing, reading and interpreting drawings and faultfinding
* Highly numerate and literate
* Capable of using, with a high degree of accuracy, a range of measuring tools
* Able to work in a team in a demanding, customer focused working environment
* Computer based skills (Microsoft Office)
* Experience within aviation would be advantageous
