Quality Controllers Requried

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Controller to work for one of our well-established companies based in Headcorn, Kent.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday
AM’s – 05:30 – 15:00
PM’s – 15:00 – 00:00
You will be required to work on a shift rotational basis completing one week AM shifts then the next week PM shifts.
Your Main Responsibilities will be:
• Testing and inspection of materials and processes from intake to final dispatch,
ensuring all specifications are met and exceptions are reported and acted upon in a
timely manner
• Raw material and packaging intake inspection and reconciliation of delivery notes and
certificates of analysis, ensuring full intake traceability and quality for each delivery
• Chemical, physical, and sensory testing and positive release of finished products
• Record and report results of all testing and inspections
• Escalation of out of specification product
• Identifying and helping resolve non-conforming product issues.
• Creating and sending daily Quality Assurance Certificates to customers, ensuring all
products meet specifications
• Communicate with customers over any queries
• Monitoring and recording of various process controls, reporting any out of parameter
results
• Carry out sensory shelf-life analysis of all finished products throughout life
• Collect and send samples to schedule to UKAS contract laboratory
• Carry out environmental swabbing to schedule
• Carry out ATP swabbing of all food contact equipment prior to usage
• Daily reporting of quality KPI data
• Monitor GMP throughout factory and report any issues to management
• Carry out full traceability and mass balance exercises as required by internal and
external auditors
• Carry out routine audits, including glass audits and record audits
• Provide training, coaching and guidance to new QC staff.
• Assist the Technical Supervisor in updating the Quality Management System
• Carry out project work including assignments to make site improvements and new
product development initiatives
The Ideal Candidate will have the following Attributes:
• Available to work the shift rotaional times requested
• Punctual and Reliable
• Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 or above (Desirable – training will be provided)
• Good Numeracy and Literacy skills due to paperwork and records
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience working within a Factory environment (desirable)
The shift pay rates are:
£11.50
Over time is available working over 39 hours a week, weekends and bank holidays paid at an overtime rate.
