General Insurance Account Manager

Barker Munro Recruitment are delighted to be working with a brand new client who provide insurance consultancy services to specific sectors. This role offers something a bit different to the norm and offers the chance to join a highly professional firm who are leaders in their field and have doubled in size over the last 3 years.
The role will involve providing account handling support in a timely and accurate manner to you Consultants. You will assist in the day-to-day servicing of their existing client portfolios as well as the development of new clients. You will be predominantly office-based working alongside the account handling back-office team, with a strong working relationship with the Head of Operations and Finance but they are happy to work a split hybrid role between home and the office.
Please Note that this is not an insurance broking position, as they are an insurance consultancy. You will be required to facilitate the efficient handling of insurance questions and issues raised by clients, as well as the day-to-day client servicing and by providing clients with independent and impartial advice. You will work with colleagues to continue to treat customers fairly and providing clients with solutions to risk and insurance issues.

• Working towards or completed CII qualification
• Competent in Microsoft word, excel and Teams
• Sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
• Experience of working within insurance
• Understanding of FCA principles and requirements of CPD
• Integrity and the ability to deal with a fast-paced environment
• Flexible approach to requirements of clients
• Team player with high level interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow and implement instructions accurately
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to work on specific projects as part of a team or individually
