Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Maidstone
Duration: 1 year contract
Salary: £40k - £45k DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
Benefits: The option to work from home 1-2 days a week, 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holiday, 3 x salary death in service, Standard pension Salary sacrifice scheme Employee - 5%, Employer - 4%, Employee Assistance Programme, Free parking
This is a newly created role due to the phenomenal growth of this UK based company. As the new HR Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the HR team (which includes payroll processing) supporting a 24/7 operation across 2 sites, as well as ensuring that all projects are delivered in a timely fashion to help the Company achieve its objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring the team are proactive and pragmatic in their approach as well as advising and coaching Managers to ensure the Company's policies are followed and values maintained.
Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
* Day to day management and development of the HR Team
* Advise and support with more complex ER case work
* Continuously review and update policies, procedures, practices and standards
* Work with the training team and managers to provide a range of management and HR-related development courses
* Project management - manage any HR related projects through to completion
* Ensure HR processes and procedures are compliant
* Champion the roll out of the HR system across the business for manager and employee self-service
* Manage the relationship with the payroll provider and HR software provider
* Work with the management team to develop the business and workforce
* Be confident to challenge processes and managers to make process improvements
* Support culture change and implementation of HR initiatives across the business
Experience and skills required for this position:
* Level 7 CIPD qualification would be advantageous
* Experience of managing a small team
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
* Excellent communication skills
* HR Systems and Microsoft suite literate
* Payroll processing experience would be advantageous
