Health & Safety And Yard Operative

Our long standing client based in Chatham Docks has an opportunity for a Health & Safety trainee and Yard Operative this role is 50/50,

50% Office

50% Practical hands on implementing safety initiatives (e.g Painting walkway, fitting guarding, repairing pot holes etc.)

The position is Temp to Perm for the ideal candidate after 12 weeks.You will be working within all areas of the Port, you must be flexible to operate where instructed. This is a very busy environment so some knowledge of H&S is paramount, you will be given the appropriate uniform after a period of time.

You will be working direct with the H&S Manager .Full training will be given however some knowledge would be a benefit.

Good clear communication with all members of the teams and clients

Able to maintain high standards for specified tasks

Computer literate, Microsoft and write in a professional manner

Excellent attention to detail

An ability to multi task

A good level of education

Ensure all Health and Safety policies, and legislation are adhered to all times

Monday to Friday

08:00 to 17:00 hrs Must be flexible with hours
