Defined Wine Ltd is looking for a production coordinator. Defined Wine Ltd is a contract-only winery based outside Canterbury (CT4 5HL). With no vineyards or brands of its own, it solely provides contract services for others. The production coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all internal and external production (principally bottling, disgorging and labelling) meets QC standards, is programmed and resourced with appropriate dry goods available. In order to do this, they should be logically minded and have an understanding of production procedures. Forward thinking and planning skills are required to deliver to tight production schedules.
The production coordinator will work to the Head Winemaker and Production Manager. The job will include:

• Coordinating all production, in particular that all dry goods and resources are in place
• Responsibility for Quality Control of all packaging operations
• Liaison directly with clients regarding delivery of dry goods and stock
• Responsibility for implementing and meeting BRC standards and HACPP
• Ensuring that all dry goods deliveries are ordered in time; are accounted for on arrival and entered onto the relevant software system
• Making periodic stock checks
• Covering for the Office Manager (responsible for invoicing, storage and general admin) when they are away
• Helping in the winery and production lines as required
Candidates must have:
- Good understanding of production processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to get on with people and engage with clients
- Data entry and computer literacy (including knowledge of MS Office); numerical literacy
- Eligibility to work in the UK
In addition, candidates should ideally have:
- Detailed food and or beverage knowledge or experience
- Experience of working to BRC or HACPP requirements and writing appropriate policies

- Full time or flexible hours, depending on candidate and work in hand
