This Job Has Expired! This advert has now been deleted by the advertiser, the details below are for information only.

You will be delivering a pioneering Housing First scheme and will provide support to some of the most disadvantaged rough sleepers, with the opportunity to secure stable accommodation and to support them to make positive changes in their lives. It’s about moving them straight into a permanent home (instead of a homeless hostel), and then providing support for the complex issues they are facing. You will earn their trust, encourage them to accept help, and provide ongoing support once they have been given a Housing First home.

The role requires:

-A patient and compassionate approach to supporting people who have been homeless for years and find it difficult to accept help.
-Strong communication skills.
-The ability to liaise with other agencies in order to address all of your clients’ support needs.
-Good administrative skills and attention to detail.

Closing date: 10th March 2021
Interview date: 17th March 2021
Contract: Fixed term until 28th February 2022
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with some flexibility required

About Porchlight: Porchlight is a charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable and isolated. At Porchlight, we are passionate about helping vulnerable people to reach their full potential. Employee Benefits: As a member of the Porchlight team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:

-Free life insurance
-Flexible working hours
-25 days holiday per year (increasing to 30 days after 5 years service) pro rata
-Porchlight pension scheme (contributions matched up to 7%)
