Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a leading independent Insurance broker based in Kent who have a first class reputation in the market for professionalism and professional development of staff and who are now looking to add an Account Handler to their busy team.

We are looking for an Account handler to work within the Schemes division of this large broker, dealing with commercial Motor insurance alongside general commercial risks. Some of these risks will include property, Liability, motor trade and private hire with premiums ranging from £3,000 to £15,000.

As an Account Handler you will be given a delegated authority (underwriting) dealing with renewals, adjustments and claims and will be expected to offer an impressive service to your clients whilst learning and developing your expertise of the market. This is a fast paced environment with a quick turnaround of work which would suit someone with a really positive attitude and the ability to juggle a number of important clients at once.

Applicants will ideally need to have a knowledge and understanding of the working of the insurance Motor Trade market, but consideration will be given to candidates that can demonstrate a knowledge in general commercial insurance or solid personal lines exposure. You will have ideally started and progressed with your CII studies although not essential and will be career minded, professional and motivated.
