Site Security Officer
Location: Ash, Kent
Hours of Work: 42 hours per week – shift work as per rota
Travel: Occasional travel required (to other sites)
Up to £19,500 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Birthday Day Off + Pension + Benefits

We work with a diverse range of clients including large Governmental departments as well as a wide range of businesses within the private sector and we are growing! We’re looking for a Site Security Officer to join us at our Secure Data Centre in Ash, Kent.
The Role:
Reporting to the Site Security Manager this role will act as the primary point of contact for all incidents or requests requiring a security input. You’ll be responsible for the logging, resolving or referral of all security incidents from point of initial contact through to resolution/escalation or closure within targeted service levels.
As a Site Security officer, you’ll be responsible for the safety and security of our Secure Data Centre based in Ash, Kent. You’ll work in close partnership with the other teams from across the business ensuring that our sites are secure and that any relevant policies and procedures are being followed and updated where necessary. Day-to-Day you will be carrying out internal patrols of our site, offices and Data Centre (a converted nuclear bunker), you’ll also be responsible for monitoring all our security systems and escalating any events that may occur as well as other security related tasks.
As an excellent communicator, you will work to support other teams who require external visitors to enter the site, advising them of the policies they need to follow as well as issuing and logging keys/ recording visitor information. As a team we’re always looking to raise the bar, learn new things and incorporate new ways of working; and you will too! You’ll share your knowledge with the team and the wider Cyberfort community, in relation to any changes in policies or procedures.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring of all security systems and escalating any events
Escorting visitors to the datacentre and site
Internal patrols of site and bunker
Logging staff and visitors on and off site
Logging access to site and datacentre
Raising and processing all client visits for business sites
Responsible for monitoring CCTV for business sites and escalating any physical security incidents
Issuing and logging keys
Carry out tape rotations and remote hands tasking
Answering phones and dealing with customer enquiries
Be prepared to do overtime as required
To be epic at the role you will:
Have a basic knowledge and understanding of computers, sending mail and using word documents
Excellent communication skills
Good planning and co-ordination skills
Excellent telephone manner
Communicates with confidence and conviction
Customer focused ability to manage customer expectations
Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
The ability to take ownership and works well in a team environment
