**Immediate Contract Major Works Manager**



JOB ROLE: Major Works Manager - 8-month maternity cover

COMPANY: Construction

HOURS: Mon-Friday 9-5

SALARY: £40, 876 PA

LOCATION: Chatham

ADDITIONAL INFO: This is a live role; my client will be holding video interviews followed by the successful candidate starting from home.



About the role:



· Management of a team of Surveyors and Project Co-ordinators

· Managing building defects and remedial works through contractors and surveyors

· Contract & Performance Management of external contractors and internal operatives to deliver major repairs

* Managing asbestos removal and remediation, ensuring all relevant supporting

documentation is completed

* Manage stock condition surveys on 8500+ housing stock properties to ensure legal compliance and regulations requirements are met
* Logging and raising jobs for the building maintenance workforce



About you:

* Experience of managing and motivating a team and contractors to deliver excellent results

* Brilliant Customer Service skills

* Ability to manage client and customer expectations
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
* A flexible in approach to hours worked and willing to attend events and meetings out of hours during the evening and at weekends
