About the Company:
Insurance Broker who operates binding authorities and line slips, for Yachts and H&M. In addition, they hold 2 exclusive facilities for War and P&I. They also handling Crew Personal Accident (CPA), Marine trades and Maine Liabilities.
About the Role:
The core of the role is handling the Hull and P&I for UK and European small commercial craft.
This covers the tasks around new business, mid-term adjustment and renewal requirements of both direct clients and broker accounts. Receiving new enquiries either through email / over the phone, processing the risk, issuing the quotation or slip and following up and handling any queries with the cover.
Main Tasks
Handling new business enquiries
Production of slip/quotation with over-view of the underwriter.
Handling endorsements mid policy and issuing renewal notices and following the renewal process.
Handling any MTAs and issuance of relevant paperwork
Issuance of renewal offers and follow ups.
Liaising with underwriters on any referrals.
Liaising with clients/brokers & handling any queries that may arise.
Ensuring procedures and documents meet FCA guidelines
Statistical information and bordereaux production will be required per month.
Monitor the facilities progress and work to find ways of growing the accounts through competitive pricing and excellent service, including liaising with insurers to ensure insurance solutions for as many prospects as possible.
Key Experience / Knowledge:
Marine knowledge / background
Logical thinking and decision making
Analytical with an ability to present detailed information clearly, with an eye for detail.
Numeracy & IT literacy, with a good working knowledge insurance IT software packages
Strong communication skills - both verbal & written
You will be reliable, organised and have a technical background. Proactive and process driven in order to deliver the best service to our clients, you will be capable of making logical decisions on a daily basis. Attention to detail is essential.
