Are you…. A plant lover, physically fit with a good work ethic, an outdoor type, adaptable, self motivated as well as a team player… then read on! Essentially we are looking for an individual with these personal attributes to join our Head of Gardens and Landscapes in a Gardener/Landscaper role.

This is a flexible role covering a wide spectrum of work and encourages a creative mind. Hours vary with Summer and Winter hours, rough start time is 6.30am

Extensive gardens and grounds set in 700 acres with diverse plantings including mixed borders of herbaceous plants, shrubs, grasses, hedging, trees and container planting.

The gardens provide a stunning backdrop for outdoor dining and events, using a creative palette of planting, sculpture and ornamental lawns as well as distant views. New ideas and a fresh thinking approach is encouraged.

Routine maintenance to include hedge-cutting, pruning, lawn maintenance, watering, weeding etc.
The position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and develop existing skills and experiences, as well as a chance to work with a dynamic and diverse team.

Applicants with NVQ L2/3 or RHS equivalent preferred however an exceptional candidate could look to achieve these as part of their training. There is scope to further develop your skill set in-house. A positive work ethic, sound plant knowledge and practical skills essential, with a keen eye for detail.

You must be comfortable working alone as well as alongside your supervisor and occasionally part of a bigger team assisting the Greenkeepers.
