Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Business Development Manager to join our client a very well established training, recruitment and logistics provider based in Sittingbourne, Kent.



Training customers that the group have include: commercial companies, colleges, other transport providers and private individuals, LGV driver supply customers include both local and national hauliers as well as end users such as national retailers and supermarkets.



The role will entail


• Generating new business through direct prospecting through marketing campaigns and appropriately using networking techniques.
• Managing a small tele-sales team
• Helping to manage the groups marketing presence through printed literature, traditional advertising media, web and social media activities as well as working closely with external suppliers such as the Group’s website designers, printers and graphic designer.
• Understanding the requirements of existing and prospective customers, through regularly maintaining contact and ensuring that the best quality service is delivered
• Ongoing management and development of existing customers
• Ensuring that all opportunities are dealt within a professional and timely manner
• Ensuring that all quotations and proposals are followed up within a timely manner
• Achieving hard and soft monthly, quarterly and annual targets



This is a new role, so above all our client seeks a self-starter with great ideas and a vision to grow and shape the business development function of the Group. There is no cap on career progression or future salary prospects and subject to success our client would be delighted to see the business development team grow, with this position leading to a directorship role.



The envisaged starting salary for this role is £40,000 plus commission and a company vehicle will be provided. Our client is open to paying a higher salary to the right candidate, according to their prior experience and successes- they are happy to hear your personal sales pitch!
