Social Enterprise Kent is an award-winning community organisation, passionate about improving lives and supporting communities in Kent & Medway. We believe in the power of social enterprise to effect positive change in our communities, and the importance of partnership working in all sectors.

Due to exciting expansion, we are now recruiting for a new director to lead on specific social enterprise projects. Whilst the main core of the role is to manage a new project in Folkestone, there is huge development potential as we have great ambitions for the future.

Based mainly in Folkestone, but also working peripatetically at either our Ashford or Margate offices, and with travel around the county and to London, the purpose of the role is to lead Social Enterprise Kent’s social enterprise activities. You will be responsible for managing our Folkestone Works social enterprise project, delivering training and support to the voluntary, community and social enterprise and sector, and to deliver specialist 1:1 mentoring to existing and start up social enterprises.

This director level role will join Social Enterprise Kent’s board and play a key role in achieving our business plan objectives for the next 5 years.

Due to the nature of the role, travel across Kent and meetings in London will be required. Depending on customer needs, we occasionally have to work outside of office hours to set up and run events and workshops.

Hours: A minimum of 2 days per week (which could be split over part-time working hours, or full time for 1.5 weeks per month etc) – up to full time
