Real Print & Media Ltd are a small but thriving print business based in Mid-Kent supplying the highest quality lithographic, digital and wide-format print to a variety of clients from small local companies, to charities and prominent large businesses.
We have worked hard to build a strong reputation with our clients, proud to be known for providing a great service whilst remaining cost-competitive. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Print Production Artworker / Mac Operator to join our modest team and help us to continue to provide a high-quality service to our customers.
The successful candidate will have a can-do and flexible approach to their work with an ability to work to tight deadlines if required. They will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to take on a variety of tasks including creating print-ready files, amending artwork layouts and some elements of the design process. As we are a lean team, in order to ensure sufficient cover, there is the requirement to assist in other aspects of the print process such as print-finishing and dealing with customers.
Main Duties:
• Edit existing artwork, making changes as required whilst ensuring historical files and version control is maintained.
• Skilled in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, predominantly InDesign and Illustrator.
• Create new artwork from customer briefs to the satisfaction of the customer. Briefs may be very specific or flexible to allow creativity.
• Ensure all artwork is print ready, e.g. check resolution, sufficient bleed and crop, check colour profile is appropriate for output media etc.
• Imposing artwork for digital print and making plates for Litho press.
• Perform digital printing tasks (full training given if required).
• Perform wide-format printing tasks (full training given if required).
• Deal with customers via phone, email and in person, monitor the emails and manage own workload.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required as there may be the need to work overtime on occasion to ensure deadlines are met.
Package includes an attractive salary (DOE), company pension, 20 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday and a friendly team to work alongside.
