Our client designs and installs incredible technology into the most prestigious homes and yachts across the globe. They are a stable company that has been going strong for thirty years which has allowed many of their employees to further their career there for over 10, 15 or even 20+ years. What they do constantly evolves as new technology is released; this keeps it exciting and challenging but always amazing.
They are looking for energetic people to join the Design team. You will be working with a Senior Designer using AutoCAD to define the detail of technical layout drawings and wiring schematics. While AutoCAD experience is preferable, it’s of more importance that you have an interest in technology. Excel skills would be useful as you will be developing schedules and managing the procurement of the top end AV and IT kit that goes into installations. Each project offers something new and different as new technologies are incorporated.
You should have the ability to multi-task, be a team player and be willing to take on additional ad-hoc duties as required. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD or similar design software. You should be passionate about new technology and able to meet our client’s exacting standards.
An eye for detail is required as spotting small mistakes early within the design stages is imperative. Self-discipline and good time management skills are also a necessity - you will be working on a large number of projects, all with specific deadlines.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit Design team led by a Senior Designer. These teams are typically made up of a handful of people including Project Managers and other Design Technicians. Projects stay with a team, so you’ll get to see projects from concept through design to completion. On-the-job training is provided along with mentorship from the team leader. They hold regular Friday afternoon training sessions on a broad range of AV/IT subjects.
