Porchlight is a charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable and isolated. Our vision is a fairer society where everybody has a safe place to call home and the chance to make a positive contribution.
The role: Do you want to use your creative skills to make a real difference to people’s lives? You’ll be joining a small team, developing a range of print and digital content to help support Porchlight’s ambition to end homelessness.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for ideas to help us raise awareness of our cause, and to communicate our work to key audiences and the wider public. You’ll generate new and fresh designs for our fundraising campaigns and events, and develop reports, leaflets and posters, as well as digital assets for our website, social media channels and email communications.
You’ll deliver creative design projects from start to finish, taking ownership of a brief from concept to completion.
If you want to bring your knowledge and enthusiasm into an organisation that’s passionate about changing lives, then this is the role for you.
What you need:
Great ideas and a passion for design
Good writing and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to turn around quick, reactive graphic content, as well as working on longer, bigger projects
An excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
The confidence to oversee entire projects, including liaising with external suppliers and advising on print costs and quality.
Benefits: As a Porchlight employee, you will have access to a wide range of benefits including free life insurance, 25 days holiday per year (increasing to 30 days after five years’ service) and the Porchlight pension scheme.
