Superb opportunity for an HR Specialist (Officer type level), who wants to join a professional HR team, initially on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of it developing thereafter.
This position is with a key employer located in the heart of Ashford (free parking) and you will be working within a team of 3 colleagues.
As HR Specialist, we are searching for someone personable and professional who has the ability to handle special project work, working alongside the HR Manager, making a significant contribution to the team.
Whilst qualified by experience is acceptable, a CIPD qualification (level 5 or above) is considered helpful.
We are ideally looking for a minimum of 3 years experience within a manufacturing or other blue collar environment.
Experience & Skills we are seeking:
Any level of Learning & Development experience would also be considered helpful, but not essential.
You will raise awareness of company policies and procedures in relation to UK employment legislation via delivery of training workshops and regular liaison/updates with managers and staff.
Update and deliver HR training workshops, absence management etc.
Take a leading role to assist the HR Manager in Change Management within various departments.
Identifying and driving improvement projects aimed attracting, maintain and developing an exceptional team.
Assist with Benchmarking of job roles currently not benchmarked and ongoing.
Lead Brexit workshops bi-monthly and maintain Q & A’s.
Assist staff with the process of settled status or pre-settled status.
Support site training initiatives to satisfy compliance.
Take a leading role in carrying our Engagement surveys for the site including staff forum and Wellness initiatives.
Any HR systems knowledge helpful.
Strong influencing, organisational and time management skills.
Driving licence required.
Hours of work & package:
Monday to Friday
8.30am – 4.30pm with an hour for lunch
Salary is dependent on experience and an attractive benefits package is also available.
