About us:

OSB is a challenger bank who specialises in lending and retail savings. We began trading as a bank in 2011 and were admitted to the main market of the London Stock Exchange in 2014, joining the FTSE 250 in June 2015. We've experienced significant growth; with our UK employee base more than trebling to what is now exceeding 600 staff, plus we have another 600 colleagues in India.



About the role:

Following our impressive growth, we launched our Mission, Vision and Values last year and the Internal Communications team played, and continue to play, a pivotal role in ensuring our employees feel informed, engaged and motivated.

As well as communicating and embedding the strategy for the business, the team also:



* Take pride in celebrating and sharing employee and business successes
* Develop creative internal campaigns to embed strategic messages
* Work closely with the Leadership, HR and People Development teams to support and develop employee engagement - including employee events
* Support various change programmes
* Lead on OSB's giving something back initiative - national / local charities, volunteering, fundraising, etc.
* Continue to review and develop the channels available to them



The key purpose of this Senior Internal Communications Executive role is to:

* Lead the development of our Intranet (OneSpace) in collaboration with IT, promoting and encouraging it's use as the first point of engagement with all OSB employees
* Lead on the review and measurement of our communication channels and messages
* Implement the IC strategy, using multiple platforms to inform (and excite!) colleagues
* Support the business by offering best practice advice and working with them to generate meaningful communication plans and content to support their objectives
* Continue to embed the cultural values of OSB
* Maintain a single voice for internal communications, and alongside Marketing colleagues, embed our brand within the organisation
* Line manage our new Internal Communication Assistant, who's based in India
* Deputise for the Internal Communications Manager, when required

Am I suitable for this role?

Naturally we're looking for someone who aligns to our values and ideally you'll have the following:



* Previous experience in a similar role, or can demonstrate your readiness to grow into it quickly
* Solid, demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication strategies / plans / campaigns
* Substantial experience of generating and writing content - that both inspires and informs
* Experience in maintaining and developing Intranets - SharePoint advantageous
* Experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships, at all levels, including ExCo
* Creativity and energy to deliver the very best for our colleagues
* Up to date knowledge of current market industry trends
* Experience gained in B2B and financial services would be advantageous - but not essential
* Line management experience - but not essential
